Published by admin on

A vibrant celebration unfolded on Sunday, May 26th, at the Holy Trinity Sunday Mass, as the Young Catholic Adults (YCA)  St John the Evangelist welcomed a new group of members into their fold. The ceremony, presided over by Parish Priest  Fr. Martin Chepsat Cssp, marked the culmination of a journey of faith for these young adults.

These new members have diligently participated in the Youth Serving Christ (YSC) program, receiving doctrinal, spiritual formation, and life skills training. Having reached a stage of maturity and a deeper understanding of their faith, they have chosen to continue their growth within the YCA.

The commissioning ceremony was a colorful and momentous occasion. One by one, the new members were called to the altar for a special rite, signifying their commitment to the next stage of their Catholic journey.

A Call to Serve

The YCA warmly welcomes these new members and encourages the entire community to embrace them with open arms. Prayers were offered for their continued growth as they strive to be “missionaries and witnesses of Christ and His Church.”

These young adults have pledged to make a positive impact in their communities, becoming a “leaven and salt” for society. Their commitment goes beyond personal faith; they vow to live by the principle of “I am not created just for myself but also for others.”

Guiding Principles

The new YCA members acknowledge their dependence on Christ’s guidance. They pledge to seek wisdom in all their endeavors, allowing their actions to reflect God’s love.

Furthermore, they express a commitment to social responsibility, vowing to be “courageously involved in the social processes.” They also recognize the importance of family, pledging to protect and uphold the institution as envisioned by God.
