The St. John the Evangelist Parish Development Committee was established in 2002 to spearhead the development of the physical infrastructure of the parish. The committee provides the father in charge with the necessary advice and assistance concerning development matters of the parish.

KEY PRIORITY PROJECTS 2024

  1. Power Backup System: The committee is planning a backup system, either a diesel generator or a solar backup solution, to be installed in 2024. Flood lights will also be installed in the parking area.
  2. Media Room: The current media room will be remodeled to enhance it and make it more spacious for equipment and personnel. Work will commence in the new year.
  3. Church Ceiling: The church ceiling will be repaired and renovated to improve its appear­ance and functionality.
  4. Additional Parking Area Improvement at the Spiritans: The parking area at the Spiritans will be ex­panded and improved to accommodate more vehicles.
  5. Church Sacristy Area: The church sacristy area will be remodeled to create a more functional and orga­nized space for storing liturgical items.

Plans for the Parish

  1. Enhance the Parishioner Experience: The committee will work to ensure that parishioners have a positive and enriching experience when worshipping at the church.
  2. Efficient Church Facilities: The com­mittee will maintain and improve church facilities to ensure that they are functioning efficiently and effectively.
  3. Meet the Needs of Special Groups: The committee will work to identify and meet the needs of special groups within the parish, such as the elderly, disabled, and young children.
  4. Maintain Church Facilities: The committee will develop a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure that church facilities are well-main­tained and in good condition.
  5. Sustainable Church Operations: The committee will explore ways to make church operations more efficient and sustainable, including reducing energy consumption and increasing revenue.
