St. John the Evangelist Parish Holds Liturgy Formation Workshop for Proclaimers and Ushers
Over 60 participants attend a formation workshop aimed at strengthening service in the liturgy.
St. John the Evangelist Parish held a Liturgy Formation Workshop yesterday, bringing together over 60 participants drawn from the parish and its outstations for a session focused on equipping Proclaimers and Ushers with the knowledge and skills needed to serve effectively during liturgical celebrations.
The workshop was facilitated by Sr. Joan Barasa and brought together aspiring Proclaimers, aspiring Ushers, serving Proclaimers and Ushers, as well as Liturgy Coordinators from the Jumuia and Ecclesiastical Groups across the parish and its outstations.
The formation provided an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of their respective roles and the importance of serving faithfully and effectively in the liturgy.
Addressing the participants, the Parish Priest, Fr. Jonathan Terna, emphasized that the workshop marked the beginning of a continued effort to equip Proclaimers and Ushers with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their responsibilities effectively, in the spirit of thanksgiving.
At the conclusion of the session, the Assistant Parish Priest, Fr. Patrick Muema, presented Sr. Joan Barasa with a token of appreciation in recognition of her informative and educational presentation.
As the parish continues this formation journey, the workshop serves as a reminder that effective liturgical service calls for preparation, commitment and a spirit of thanksgiving.
