Men’s Mass & CMA Initiative
Men’s Mass
Last Sunday, the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B, our parish came together in a special way as the Catholic Men’s Association (CMA) hosted a Men’s Mass. It was a powerful opportunity for our men to celebrate the Eucharist as a community and to address pressing issues impacting their lives.
Father Simba, our celebrant, delivered a thought-provoking homily centered around John 6:25-27, reminding us that our deepest hunger is spiritual and urging us to seek eternal life rather than temporal satisfaction.
Mr. Gerald Mwangi delivered a presentation, on the St. Joseph Technical College Kamulu ADN project. This initiative, under the umbrella of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, aims to provide technical education to young people. Mr. Mwangi made a heartfelt appeal for support in purchasing chairs for the college, a project specifically allocated to our parish men. The total cost is Ksh 440,000. Please refer to the posters for further details.
Factors that may increase the risk of developing arthritis include being overweight or obese, having a family history of arthritis.
In addition to the inspiring spiritual and community-building aspects of the Mass, our men also benefited from a valuable talk on arthritis by Dr. Kinyanjui, an orthopedic specialist and fellow parishioner. His insights on types, symptoms, prevention, and treatment were invaluable.
Let us continue to support our CMA and their initiatives.
We commend the CMA for their tireless efforts in empowering men to be pillars of strength within our church, families, and society. Through initiatives like these, we are building a stronger and more compassionate community.
