A Celebration of Love: Mass Wedding at St. John the Evangelist Parish
On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, St. John the Evangelist Parish in Karen was filled with joy as three couples exchanged their vows in a beautiful mass wedding. The ceremony was a vibrant celebration of love, faith, and unity.
The couples, Lawrence Njuguna and Mary Njeri, David Onsare and Margaret Nyangara, and Fredrick Mbote and Mary Wangui, were surrounded by their loved ones as they took this significant step in their lives. The packed church was a testament to the couples’ popularity and the strong community support they enjoyed.
The mass wedding was an initiative of the Church Leadership, which has been instrumental in helping many couples receive the sacrament of Holy matrimony. This event was a testament to the Church’s commitment to supporting its members and fostering a sense of community.
Fr. Martin Chepsat CSSp presided over the ceremony, who delivered a powerful homily emphasizing the importance of faith, forgiveness, and love in a lasting marriage. Fr. Chepsat’s words resonated with the couples and the congregation, inspiring them to strive for a deeper connection with God and each other.
After the exchange of vows, the couples received the sacrament of Holy Eucharist. This sacred moment they marked the beginning of their spiritual journey as a married couple and their commitment to living according to God’s plan.
As the couples exited the church, they were showered with blessings and well wishes from their loved ones. The day was a celebration of love, hope, and new beginnings.
