ANNOUNCEMENTS – 30^TH AUGUST, 2026

22^ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME – YR A

1. It is with deep sorrow we announce the demise of our parishioner Justice Joseph Mutava Mbalu which occurred last Saturday 22^nd August. The requiem Mass will be held this coming Wednesday here at St. John starting at 00am. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 4^th September at his residence in Kibwezi – Kinyambo.
2. Today we have PPC General meeting in the parish main hall after the 2^nd Mass. All leaders from all small Christian communities, church groups and outstations are encouraged to attend. Please be punctual.
3. Francis small Christian will have charity work today at Mji wa wazee – Kasarani.
4. YSC will have Mass today in the Adoration Chapel at 30am.
5. Church Group meetings today are as follows: –
   • Michael – Church – 1.30pm
   • Cecilia – Shrine of the Apostles – 1.30pm
   • Padre Pio –  after the choir practice
   • Monicah – Mary Joakim – 3.00pm
   • Jude Thaddeus – Purity Murugi, Msaba close – 3.00pm
6. Weekly Masses this week are as follows:-
   • S Teresa of Calcutta – Friday, 4^th Sept– Dalmas Rabach – 7.00pm
   • Josemaria Escriva – Saturday, 5^th Sept – Anthony Ndegwa – 10.00am
7. All CMA who are in formation class will have their final class next Sunday 6^th September after the 2^nd Mass in the Parish hall room 3.
8. All small Christian communities will have a common jumuiya meeting coming Sunday, 6^th September after the 3^rd Mass -1.30pm. All jumuiya members and those Christians willing to join small Christian communities are encouraged to attend.
9. Lay Carmelite Associates and self-help group will have their meetings next Sunday in their respective places.
10. PMC will have their Mass next Sunday 6^th September at 9.00 and at 11.30am.
11. All CMA members and all parish men will have a day of recollection on 19^th September at Mazzanti House, Little Sister of St. Theresa near Hemingways Hotel starting at 9.00am and thereafter rehearsals for those being commissioned at St. John. All men are encouraged to register at the table outside the church.
12. The Archdiocese of Nairobi Beatification office is urgently requesting all Catholics to pray for the beatification of the servant of God Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga. We are kindly requested to report any graces granted through his intercession to the ADN Beatification office.
13. The Sons of Divine Providence are inviting all parishioners to the diaconate ordination of Br.Justus Barongo Nyabunga which will be held coming Friday, 4^th September at the Resurrection Garden. The main celebrant will be His Grace Most Rev. Phillip Anyolo at 10: 00am. All are welcome.

MATANGAZO – AGOSTI 30, 2026

JUMAPILI YA ISHIRINI NA MBILI – MWAKA A

1. Tunasikitika kutangaza kifo cha mwanaparokia wetu Justice Joseph Mutava Mbalu kilichotokea Jumamosi iliyopita. Ibada ya wafu itafanyika Jumatano ijayo ya tarehe mbili hapa parokiani kuanzia saa tano kamili. Misa ya mazishi itafanyika Ijumaa ya tarehe nne Septemba nyumbani mwake huko Kibwezi – Kinyambo.
2. Kutakuwa na mkutano wa PPC General leo kwenye ukumbi mkuu wa parokia baada ya Misa ya pili – 11.30am. Viongozi wa jumuiya zote, vikundi vya kanisa na vigango vyote wanahimizwa kushiriki. Tafadhali tufike kwa wakati.
3. Vijana wa YSC watakuwa na Misa leo kwenye Adoration Chapel kuanzia saa tano unusu.
4. Jumuiya ya Mt.Francisko watatembelea nyumba ya wazee huko Kasarani
5. Mikutano ya vikundi vya kanisa leo ni kama ifuatavyo:-

• Jumuiya ya Mt. Padre Pio – Kanisani – baada ya zoezi ya kwaya
• Jumuiya ya Mt Cecilia – Shrine of Apostle – 30 pm
• Jumuiya ya Mt. Mikaeli – Kanisani – 30 pm
• Jumuiya ya Mt. Monika – Mary Joakim –00pm
• Jumuiya ya Mt. Yuda Taddei – Purity Murugi , Msaba close – 3.00pm

6. Misa za katikati ya wiki ni kama zifuatavyo:-
   • Jumuiya ya Mt. Teresa wa Calcutta – Ijumaa, 4^th Sept – Bw na Bi Rabach – 7.00 pm
   • Jumuiya ya Mt. Josemaria Escriva- Jumamosi, 5^th Sept –Bw na Bi Ndegwa – 10.00am
7. Wanachama wa CMA ambao wanaendelea na mafundisho, watamaliza masomo yao Jumapili ijayo ya tarehe sita Septemba baada ya Misa ya pili kwenye ukumbi wa parokia Chumba namba taatu.
8. Jumuiya zote zitakuwa na mkutano wa pamoja Jumapili ijayo ya tarehe sita Septemba baada ya Misa ya tatu , 1.30pm.  Wanajumuiya wote na wakristu ambao wangependa kujiunga na jumuiya wanahimizwa kushiriki.
9. Kikundi cha maombi cha walei wa Carmelite na kile cha Self-help watakuwa na mikutano yao Jumapili ijayo ya tarehe sita Septemba baada ya Misa ya pili.
10. Watoto wa PMC watakuwa na Misa Jumapili ijayo saa tatu na saa tano unusu kwenye ukumbi mkuu wa parokia.
11. Kikundi cha CMA wanawaalika wanaume wote wa parokia kwenye siku ya tafakari itakayofanyika Jumamosi ya tarehe kumi na tisa Septemba huko Mazzanti House, Little Sister of St. Theresa karibu na hoteli ya Hemingways kuanzia saa tatu asubuhi na baadaye zoezi hapa kanisani kwa wenye wataapishwa. Wanaume wote wanahimizwa kujisajili kwa meza hapo nje ya kanisa.
12. Ofisi ya Jimbo Kuu la Nairobi inayoshughulikia mchakato wa kutangazwa mwenye heri inawaomba kwa dharura Wakatoliki wote kusali kwa ajili ya kutangazwa mwenye heri kwa Mtumishi wa Mungu, Kadinali Maurice Michael Otunga. Tunaombwa kwa heshima kutoa taarifa kwa ofisi hiyo kuhusu neema yoyote iliyopatikana kupitia maombezi yake.

13. Shirika la ‘Sons of Divine Providence’ wanawaalika wakristu wote kuhudhuria ibada ya kuwekwa wakfu kuwa shemasi kwa Ndugu Justus Barongo Nyabunga, itakayofanyika siku ya Ijumaa ijayo ya tarehe 4 Septemba, katika Bustani ya Ufufuko (Resurrection Garden). Ibada hiyo itaongozwa na Askofu Mkuu Phillip Anyolo kuanzia saa nne asubuhi. Wote mnakaribishwa.

14. Tunawashukuru waliohudumu Misa ya leo. Mungu awabariki sana. Watakaohudumu Misa Jumapili ijayo ni wafuatao:-
